The Greek High Level Seminar was held in Thessaloniki on the 26th of September 2014, organized by the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (LHTEE), the only Greek partner participating in Urban Empathy Project.

Approximately 60 participants attended the Seminar, representing local, regional and national Authorities: Region of Attica, Decentralized Administration of Central Macedonia-Thrace, Municipalities from the greater area of Thessaloniki, the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Center for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving, the Center for Research and Technology Hellas, the Thessaloniki's Integrated Transport Authority, local Development Agencies, Universities (Thessaloniki, Piraeus, Aegean etc). The event was held at the premises of the Hellenic International University,  it has been filmed including a short interview of the Vice Mayor of Municipality of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas.

During the first part of the High Level Seminar the urban sustainability aspects, needs, priorities and differences between big metropolitan areas like Athens and smaller like Thessaloniki were presented by politicians and high level administrators and discussed. During the second part, different tools were presented by technicians, developed in the framework of EU projects that can satisfy the needs of politicians and high level administrators, corresponding to the axis of urban sustainability, transportation, social cohesion and natural resources. The LHTEE has produced its Annual Report 2013 on the topic of "Sustainability Dimensions", with an special focus on Urban Context.

One of the tool that was explicitly presented was the SUMO Toolkit. A video developed by LHTEE using all the material, texts, images that were developed by the project was demonstrated during the High Level Seminar, additionally to the awarded Capitali...What? project video, in the European Cooperation Day 2014, that gathered very positive reactions by the audience. During the third part of the High Level Seminar a round table was held with experts from the UK, Germany and Denmark, who presented good practices in the fields of waste management, urban management and energy saving in buildings from their areas.
